About Clockwork Animals

Playing an amalgamation of genres that include alternative rock, post-punk, shoegaze, dream pop and gothic rock, Clockwork Animals are a three piece band based in Liverpool, UK.

Fronted by the dual vocal combination of Jack Tully (Guitars) and Elena Auddino (Bass) and completed by Ashley Hargreaves (Drums) their debut single ‘Jonic’ was released in December 2024; a swirling 6 minute track that summarises the approach of Clockwork Animals in its combination of genres, resulting in a sound unique to the band.

With searing guitars that cut through the explosive fuzz laden chords, ‘Jonic’ draws inspiration from bands such as Sonic Youth, Smashing Pumpkins, The Cure and DIIV whilst delivering a fresh take on the genre.

In January 2025 ‘Jonic’ was closely followed by ‘Walking Shadow’. A slow burning track, ‘Walking Shadow’ eerily builds with verses that crawl with layered guitars and a melodic chorus section that is complimented by the shrieking delay and reverb drenched guitars, culminating in a frantic soundscape of lead guitars.

With live shows and a debut EP to be announced in the near future, Clockwork Animals are a band on the rise and 2025 promises to be an exciting year.
